The FWRC Annual Celebration

The 2027 Fort Wayne Running Club Celebration and Fitness Expo and will take place Sunday February 7, 2027 at Ceruti's, 6601 Innovation Blvd., Fort Wayne, Indiana. (No parking charge!).

This year’s celebration will feature “Faces of Fort Wayne Running” conversations with Andrew Gritzmaker, Gordy Pleus, and Brittnie Teeple. They’ll bring energy, inspiration, and stories that showcase the heart of our club. It’s set to be a memorable evening. 

The Sunday 2027 Annual Celebration begins at 3 pm with a fitness expo, social time followed by dinner, FWRC updates, honoring members and outstanding area high school distance athletes, and motivational conversations.  

Join us Saturday February 6th, 10 am for a 5km public group run/walk with Andrew, Gordy, and Brittnie at Fleet Feet Southwest with check in beginning at 9:00 AM. No charge.  Following the run/walk Andrew, Gordy, and Brittnie will offer an in-store appearance with pictures and autographs.

Join us Sunday January 7th, noon for Andrew, Gordy, and Brittnie's meet and greet at Three Rivers Running Company.  No charge. They will offer an in-store appearance with pictures and autographs.

3:00- 4:00 PM - Welcome/Check In, Fitness Expo, Cash Bar With Soda and Drinks, 2026 Points Series Picture Show, Raffle Drawing Sign Up,  Social, Andrew, Gordy, and Brittnie pictures and autographs

4:00-4:45 PM:  Celebration Welcome, Invocation, Dinner, and FWRC Update

4:45-5:15 PM:  Annual Awards

2026 Annual FWRC Awards:  Points Series Age Group Awards, Ironrunner Awards, Ironstrider Awards, Don Lindley’s Volunteer of the Year Award, Barbie Scrogham Spirit of Running Award, Golden Shoe Award,, Joe Ziegler’s Breaking Barriers Award, Presidents Award and Chris Brown Outstanding High School Distance Runners

5:15 PM: “Faces of Fort Wayne Running” conversations with Andrew Gritzmaker, Gordy Pleus, and Brittnie Teeple , Questions/Answers, Gift Drawings, Thank You's, and Closing Remarks

Come meet and listen to Andrew, Gordy, and Brittnie's inspiring stories, fitness experiences, and valuable life messages.
