Our inaugural 5K & Kids Fun Run is more than just a race — it’s the beginning of a meaningful community tradition built around awareness, hope, and empowerment during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Join us for an unforgettable day filled with movement, connection, and purpose as runners, walkers, families, and supporters come together for this first-ever experience. Whether you are participating in the 5K, cheering on loved ones, or watching your little ones take part in the Kids Fun Run, this event is designed for all ages and fitness levels. All proceeds will benefit the Barren River Area Safe Space Inc.

FAQs
There will be at least one water station throughout the course.
Participants in the Kids Fun Run must be under the age of 13. There are two distances - a 100 yard "Tot Trot" and a 1/4 mile run. Participants may choose either distance. Those over 12 should consider participating in the 5k.
Yes! We hope you are jamming out to the best beats to fule your run. We will have a DJ to supply those with tunes who are running without headphones/earbuds.
No, as much as we all love our best fur friends, we want to ensure this race is fun for all.
No. Since Buchanon Park is a public-use area please consider leaving your valueables and personal times in your vehicles. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
There is no time limit to finish this race.
All registrants for the 5K will receive a t-shirt with their registration. Please ensure you select what size you would like when registering for the event.
All kid registrants will receive a lanyard medal at the finish line! T-shirts are not included in the kid fun run, additional shirts may be purchased.
Parking is free!
Early-bird registration pricing begins at $25 on June 1st and runs through July 3rd at midnight. Registration price increases to $30 from July 4th - September 30th at midnight. Prices become $40 starting October 1st until the day of the race.
Participants are welcome to register on the morning of the race. Extra t-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
