Description
“The Running Reverend” was birthed in the heart of the founder of ALM during a local 5K race. During that race, other participants expressed their amazement to see this man among them, “A Reverend” running with such passion and joy! At this event, he was labeled the “Running Reverend.” This event is driven by two main purposes. The first purpose is to help empower the community at large to have a good life through spiritual and physical health. Secondly, the proceeds from this event will help fund a city wide youth program called S.T.A.R.S., “Students That Are Reaching Success.”

S.T.A.R.S. mission is to help youth reach their full potential by teaching and training them in every area of their lives. Through providing educational, enrichment, and recreational activities, the youth will develop more positive self-esteem and academic success. It is the goal of this program to help youth in the community improve academically, socially, physically and morally.
