Independence Day 5K

Join Blue Cheetah as we celebrate the Independence Day holiday and weekend with our 6th annual Independence Day 5K - on Saturday July 4, 2026. Run or Walk 5K or 1M on our certified course in Aberdeen, MD.  Race starts and ends at Festival Park. 8:00 am start time. 

Awards: Top 3 Males and Females

Top 3 in Age Groups - 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ (80+ first place only)

Packet mail-outs and Virtual race packets will be mailed approximately one week pror to race day.  

Early Packet Pickup Thursday July 2 from 4-7 pm at Charm City Run in Bel Air. 

Race day packet pickup will begin at 6:30 am at the Festival Park Pavilion

It's gonna be a hot one on Saturday! Anyone wanting to switch to the virtual 5K so they can complete the run when it's a bit cooler - just let us know and we can make the switch. There will be a small fee to cover the cost of shipping your items - or you can pick up at the early packet pickup on Thursday. 

If you switch to the virtual 5K after 6 pm on Friday, we can't guarantee that we will have your shirt size available. We will make every attempt to get you the requested shirt size but due to race day swaps, etc. we may not have the size available after the race. The race is close to a sellout so we don't have a lot of extras. 

Live 5K and 1 Mile Distances, plus a Virtual 5K component for those who cannot be there on the day but still want to join in the fun.

5K - $30/per person - includes shirt, premium medal & race bib. Price increase to $35 after June 15. Race day registration (if available) is $40. Registrations may sell out prior to race day. 
1M - $25/per person (untimed) includes shirt, premium medal & race bib. Price increase to $30 after June 15. Race day registration is $35.
Virtual 5K - $35 per person - Virtual registration includes packet mailing of shirt, premium medal, and race bib.
