What to Expect at the TBC Zombie Dash 5k & Kids Fun Run:​

8:00 am - Registration and bib pick-up opens

10:00 am - Zombie Dash 5k starts

11:00 am - Kids Fun Run

11:30 am - Inflatable Costume Mad Dash (untimed Fun Run)

11:40 am - Awards for Zombie Dash 5k - top 3 overall (timed from gun start)

Race Bib Pick-Up:
Friday, October 27 |  3pm - 6pm @ The Brick Companies, 3168 Braverton Street, Edgewater

Sunday, October 29 |  8am @ Race Site, SERC

Skele-bration Zone:

Expect lots of tricks and treats in the Skele-bration Zone! 💀 There will be something for everyone. Trick or treating, face painting, games and pumpkin decorating 🎃 for the kids. Great food 🍕 and beverage 🍺 options from local vendors, such as Timber Pizza and incredible homemade baked goods. This event provides a great opportunity to come together to celebrate the spirit of community while raising money for a local cause.

Inflatable Costume Mad Dash:

Step into your favorite inflatable costume and wobble, we mean make a mad dash to the finish line. All participants of the inflatable costume mad dash must be registered and sign a waiver of liability. This is a free fun run and will not be timed. The distance is 200 yards.

The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) provides science-based knowledge to meet the environmental challenges of the 21st century. SERC leads research on coastal ecosystems—where the land meets the sea—to inform real-world decisions for wise policies, best business practices, and a sustainable planet. A true hidden gem, the 2,650-acre environmental research and educational facility operated by the Smithsonian Institution is located on the Rhode and West Rivers near Edgewater in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.  The large campus spans forests, wetlands, marshes, and 15 miles of protected shoreline. Special Notes:

- This race is professionally timed and managed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing

- This is a trail run on unpaved pathways through the woods. Use of strollers is not recommended.

- Pets are NOT permitted on the SERC property.

- There will be NO zombies as part of the kids' fun run. 

- All participants must be registered and complete a waiver of liability.

- Running strollers are not permitted during the Inflatable Costume Mad Dash.
