This year’s Humane Hustle will be better than ever! We’re thrilled to introduce some exciting updates designed to give participants the best race-day experience possible:
(1) Introducing Our First-Ever 10K! Ready to go the extra mile? For the first time, Humane Hustle participants can take on a 10K, in addition to our 5K and 1-Mile Walk.
(2) Official Race Timing: Our 5K and 10K will be officially timed by Epic Race Timing, giving runners accurate results and a true race-day experience.
(3) NEW Youth Registration Discount: We’re making Humane Hustle even more accessible for families! All youth ages 17 and under will receive $10 off any registration.
(4) Revamped Fundraising Incentives: Raise funds for shelter pets while earning some exciting rewards! This year’s fundraising incentives feature fresh apparel and special opportunities to engage with our shelter pets.

Get ready for an unforgettable day of fun and compassion at the 4th Annual Humane Hustle, a 10K and 5k trail run and 1 mile run designed to raise critical funds for the animals at Humane Society of West Michigan.
Humane Hustle is more than just a run; it's a day filled with activities that will leave you with lasting memories. Enjoy scenic views, quality time with your four-legged friends, and a sense of purpose knowing your participation supports a great cause. By joining Humane Hustle, you're not only treating yourself to an incredible experience, but you're also making a real difference in the lives of animals in need. So mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and get ready to hit the trails at the Canonsburg Ski Area for a day of Humane Hustle that you'll cherish forever!
Below is a schedule for the day of Humane Hustle:
- 9:30 AM | Event Activities & Check-In Open. Activities will include:
- Sponsor booths
- Adoptable animals
- Activity areas
- Kids Zone
- 11:00 AM | 10K Begins
- 11:15 AM | 5K Begins
- 11:30 AM | 1 Mile Walk Begins
- 1:00 PM | Event Activities Close
Below are the dates and time for packet pick-up (Subject to Change):
- November 12th: 4-7 PM at Humane Society of West Michigan
- November 13th: 4-7 PM at Humane Society of West Michigan
*Humane Society of West Michigan reserves the right to cancel the event due to weather or unsafe conditions. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations outside of HSWM's control.
