Event Description
A FREE 5K road race and also 5K and 1 mile walk options that start at Zion Lutheran Church! This is an event being brought to the Mt. Pleasant community by Zion Lutheran Church located at 3401 E River Rd in Mt. Pleasant, MI. The goal is to provide fellowship amongst the community of Mt. Pleasant enjoying God’s creation through exercise!
Registration and Shirt Pick-Up
Near the start/finish line from 9:30 AM - 10:25 AM the day of the race.
After the Race
Join us after the race as we host our annual Brat-Fest near the finish line at the pavilion. This online registration is free but we encourage donations toward our youth group. If you donate at least $10, you will receive a Brat-Fest meal which includes a brat, appetizers, dessert, and beverages! We will even be hosting an auto show at the same time. We will also have inflatable jumpy houses, a dunk tank, yard games and other fun entertainment. Location
Start/finish line of the race: Zion Lutheran Church by the pavilion (3401 E River Rd). Race starts at 10:30 AM on Saturday September 12, 2026!
Course Map
The route for the 5K is a very simple, but a very beautiful and scenic route! The start/finish line will be near Zion's pavilion on the drive. As the run/walk begins, participants will exit Zion's drive and head west (right) on River Road for about a half mile and then head south (left) when they get to Crawford Road. Participants will be on Crawford Road for a mile until they get to Pickard Road. Once participants get to Pickard Road, they will then turn around and head back north on Crawford Road, head east on River Road, and then head north on Zion's drive and finish where they started. If these directions are confusing, take a look at the map. This is a scenic route as you will go by Mission Creek Park, Hannah's Bark Park (don't worry, the dogs are in a fenced area!), Coyne Oil Inc, and the beautiful tunnel of trees along Crawford Road!
