Join us for the 20th annual Tupelo Marathon and 14.2 Miler race. We are staying on the original course that made us famous! The course is an out and back for the marathon runners on beautiful rolling country roads. For the 14.2 participants, it's a 13.1 mile run to the marathon turn-around and then a bonus 1.1 mile run to the finish. We're not charging extra for the bonus mile, so it's even a bigger bargain.  It's a 5:00am start but even with the early start expect some heat and humidity. We will have water stops and a few cheering spectators to help along the way.

Registrants will receive a 1/4 zip race shirt and an award winning medallion if you finish.  Prizes will be awarded for overall, Masters, Grandmasters, and age group winners.  Entries will be capped at 175 for the Marathon and 375 in the 14.2 Miler.

The marathon is a Boston Qualifier, so this is the perfect opportunity to attempt qualifying for Boston 2022.      Come join the fun and "Trample the Weak Hurdle the Dead" Sunday, September 5th at 5:00 am.

1. Refund considerations will be based on race cancellation.
2. Age limit 18 years for the Marathon and 16 years for the 14.2 Miler
3. Swapping of races is discouraged but if you sign up early and don't wait until the last minute, we might consider it.
4. No carry over of registrations to following year.
5. No transfers of entry to another person. Though it is hard to police this, if caught you will be banned and so will your substitute.

Join us for post race food, beverages, and fun with friends and fellow runners. Showers will be available.

Tupelo Marathon is a Boston Qualifier!

There is a virtual race option for those who can't participate in person. Separate results will be provided for virtual runners and on site participants. You can download our RaceJoy app (see below) and your results will post on our site. Virtual participants not using the app will be on the honor system. They can manually update their time and receive a shirt. Please see our "Virtual FAQ"

Q: Do I have to be in a certain city/state to do this event?
A: Anyone can do the Tupelo Marathon and 14.2 Miler  (VIRTUAL)  wherever you are, on your time between Friday August 27th  and Sunday September 5th!  This is great way for families and friends to stay active together, even if you don't live close to each other.  However, if you are registered for an on site event, you will need to toe the "Start Line" at 549 Coley Road  in Tupelo, MS on Sunday September 5th at 5:00 AM
Q: Do I have to run or can I walk?
A: You can run, walk, runwalk ... as long as you are purposefully moving and logging miles, it counts.
Q: Do I have to complete the VIRTUAL Marathon or 14.2 Miler at one time?
A: Yes, since this is a "timed" event, you will need to complete your full distance  during one activity ... not multiple combined activities.
Q: Do I have to put in my miles outside?
A: Preferably you will be able to go outside so you can use our Live GPS tracking app, RaceJoy (see RaceJoy How To below). but if you need to complete your miles inside (on a treadmill, at the gym, etc.) that will be possible with the alternate reporting option.
Q: How do I record my miles/time?
A: The easiest and best way will be to utilize the RaceJoy app (see below)  ... you simply hit start on the app and it will register your time in results when you complete your event distance..  But, if you are unable to carry your phone; will be in a location with poor cell service; or need to complete your miles inside or on a treadmill, then there will be alternate ways to report your time.  You can upload directly to the RunSignUp system.  Just go to the Results tab (click here) on this webpage and choose "Submit Virtual Results". Virtual results will be presented in a format similar to in person results for recognition only.. Please note, due to the nature of virtual results being reliant on terrain variables, on dependable cell service and honesty, virtual participants will not be eligible for  awards, or trophies.

Available for Apple and Android devices.
