Join us for an inspiring and impactful event as Cultivating Resources & Opportunities Community Foundation and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Chi Rho Omega Chapter proudly present the Walk for All Mankind 5K Suicide Prevention Fundraiser. This charity walk is dedicated to raising essential funds for student counseling centers at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in North Carolina, with a focus on suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Let's come together to support our students and promote a future where every life is valued and protected.
Purpose: The Walk for All Mankind aims to enhance student counseling services at NC HBCUs, ensuring every student has access to essential mental health resources.
Impact: By addressing mental health disparities, we aim to make a meaningful impact by creating a safer and more supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. Course
Our 1-mile walk course is located at the scenic Knightdale Station Park. To walk 5k, you'll need to complete the loop 3 times. Along the walk you will enjoy nature and wildlife as you pass by ponds, athletic parks, dog parks, and a children's splash pad and playground. The route is paved, has 1-2 moderate hills, and is rated as "easy." There are many options for easy and accessible parking.
