When do I do my virtual 5K Run/Walk event?
The virtual 5K Run/Walk must take place between Saturday, October 24, 2020 and Sunday, November 29, 2020
How do I log my completion of my 5K Run/Walk?
Your completion of the 5k Run/Walk can be logged by entering into the "Results" page on this site. Select the option to submit results between Oct 24th and Nov 29. If you don't wish to list your time, there is an option to simply show completion as well.
As a participant, when and what do I receive once I log the completion of the Virtual 5K Run/Walk?
All registered participants logging the completion of the virtual 5K Run/Walk will receive a Commemorative 5K T-shirt and Finisher Medal. Once you log the completion of your participation in the 5K, your T-shirt and finisher medal will be sent within 2 weeks.
Can I walk the Victory for Veterans Virtual 5K Run/Walk?
Yes, all athletic abilities are welcome!
Is Victory for Veterans Virtual 5K Run/Walk a timed event?
Due to the range of ages and athletic abilities, the Victory for Veterans Virtual 5K Run/Walk is not a race. 5K participants will only be logging that they completed the 5K Run/Walk.
Is my registration refundable or transferable to someone else?
The registration fee is nonrefundable and non transferable. The good news is that your registration fee will go directly to helping at-risk Veterans and their immediate families.
What do my registration fees benefit?
Funds raised from the event go to directly benefit homeless and at-risk Veterans and their immediate family with programs and services to attain/retain permanent housing and achieve a healthy, independent lifestyle.
If I cannot participate in the virtual 5K Run/Walk, can I make a tax deductible donation to support homeless or at-risk Veterans?
Yes, tax deductible donations can be made by visiting: www.journeyhomevets.org. All general donations are 100% tax deductible, as allowed by law, in the same calendar year the donation was given. Always rely on your tax professional to determine what deductions you (or those who donate toward your participant goal) are eligible for.
