Heroes vs Cancer

It’s back! - The 3rd Annual Heroes vs. Cancer 5k Race and 400m Kids Run will be held at The Episcopal Academy, in Newtown Square, PA on Sunday, September 15th at 8:00 am!

We’ve had 65-75 runners each of the last two years and have been able to donate over $10,000 to the American Cancer Society! And now, we’re aiming our sights even higher – that’s where you come in! Please sign up or share this event with your friends & family.

Below is a little more information about the event's purpose and the Coaches vs. Cancer School & Youth Initiative. I also attached this year’s flyer.

All proceeds will go directly to the Coaches vs. Cancer program of The American Cancer Society. The purpose of this event is to celebrate survivors, remember and honor those we have lost, and fight back so that no one loses another family member, friend, or loved one to this disease. Cancer hits close to home for many of us; and on September 15th, we will fight for everyone, in every community, and against every cancer. 

The Philadelphia Coaches vs. Cancer School and Youth Initiative is a program designed to encourage student-athletes, coaches, fans, parents, athletic directors, and local communities to make an impact in the fight against cancer. Any community member or business can be a part of the Coaches vs. Cancer program.

The American Cancer Society is recognized as a charitable organization and qualifies as tax exempt under the 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Federal Identification Number is 13-1788491.
