WXPN 5k Run for Musicians On Call

Make a Difference in the Lives of Hospitalized Patients!
Lace up your running shoes and rally your friends! Here's your chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of local area hospital patients. Join us for the 10th annual WXPN 5k Run, the premier fundraising event for WXPN Musicians On Call which brings live music to the bedsides of hospitalized patients in the Delaware Valley.

Register to participate in a 5k Run or a Funky Miler Walk. Both options are available when you join us at 8:30 AM at Penn Park on Sunday, October 15 or complete it on your own at a course near you anytime the week prior. Top fundraisers and fastest runners at the Penn Park course earn prizes and will be recognized for their accomplishments.

Registration includes:

• Admission to the After Party with DJ Robert Drake
• Run/Walk Playlist
• Pre-race Yoga Warmup
• Finisher gift
• Commemorative Race Shirt (Register by 9/1 to ensure desired size and, if participating virtually, receive shirt via mail by 10/15)
• All the feels you get from knowing that your support helps bring joy to hundreds of hospitalized patients

Your Support Is Needed As In-person Visits Return
In 2020, Musicians On Call took its programs virtual in order to reach patients and caregivers during the COVID-19 pandemic. As of June 2023, volunteer guides and musicians are returning to live in-person performances at several facilities, with more scheduled to return this summer and fall. The funds you raise will go directly to supporting the recruiting, training, and onboarding of new and returning volunteer guides and musicians and is crucial to delivering healing power of music to all nine facilities.

Join a Team, Lead a Team, or Make an Individual Impact
Teams are a fun way to bring people together for a good cause. Recruit your friends, family, and co-workers to join you in your efforts. Team members provide great support to help each other achieve individual goals, and through their collective fundraising, teams make a bigger impact. When you register you will be asked to join or start a team, or opt to participate as an individual. 

REGISTRATION FEES

• Registration is open through October 10 (in person) and October 14 (virtual)
• Registration fee: $40 / $25 for students
• Race Day Fee: $50 / $25 for students (in person only)
• Student discount is automatically applied for registrants aged 18 and under. College/University students will be prompted to select discount, and enter student ID.
• Please note that registrants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM FUNDRAISING

• Every registered participant will be set up with the ability to fundraise for WXPN Musicians On Call.
• When you register you can choose to fundraise individually or as part of a team that you form or one that already exists (such as Team Rave On)
• Customize and promote your individual or team fundraising page to encourage others to help deliver the healing power of music.
• Top fundraisers will be recognized during the After Party.

The 5k Run for Musicians on Call course is USATF Certified!
