Packet Pick-Up Information

Join us for packet pick-up on Friday, March 5th, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Craft & Draft, located on Devine Street in Columbia, SC. Craft & Draft is known for its welcoming atmosphere and local brews, making it the perfect spot to gear up for race day. Plus, when you show your race bib at pick-up, you’ll receive a FREE beer to kick off the weekend festivities! Be sure to stop by, grab your race essentials, and enjoy a great start to your True to the Brew 5k experience.

Race Day Packet Pick-Up

For those picking up packets on race day, we’ve got you covered!  Packet Pick-Up will open at 7:30 AM at the Palmetto Trail Offices, located at 722 King Street in Columbia, SC – conveniently near the start and finish line. Don’t miss out on joining the True to the Brew 5K – Capital City Passage – we’re ready to help you gear up for an unforgettable race!  Race starts promptly at 9am!

Finish Line Celebration

The True to the Brew Series is famous for its unforgettable finish line celebrations, and this race will be no exception! After you cross the finish line, follow the enticing aroma of fresh-off-the-grill hamburgers, veggie burgers, and grilled cheese sandwiches – all cooked to perfection on the Palmetto Trail grill and loaded with all the fixings. Cool down with a complimentary Palmetto Trail Ale from Craft & Draft, and enjoy live music, great company, and an unbeatable atmosphere. Stick around for our unique awards ceremony and plenty of post-race fun. Don’t miss this celebration – it’s a True to the Brew experience you won’t forget!

Course Details

Get ready for our exciting new course along the Capital City Passage!  With local expert Ken Lowden certifying the course, you can be confident it will be both challenging and rewarding. The race will start and finish  near our Palmetto Trail office on King Street. It’s perfect for runners and walkers!

You will love our soft blend, long sleeve race shirt! It’s great for those cool morning runs or walks.  Our shirt guarantee deadline is 2/11/27! We will order extra … but only those signed up before this date are guaranteed a shirt.

All race shirts must be picked up at packet pick up times.  We are not able to hold shirts or mail them after the race.  We appreciate your understanding!

Awards Ceremony

All Finishers will be awarded a custom bottle opener medal to commemorate your race!  

Join us at  about 11:15 AM for our highly anticipated awards ceremony! At True to the Brew, we believe in honoring the effort, time, and talent you bring to race day, and our awards are always three deep to ensure you get the recognition you deserve. We’ll be celebrating the Overall Top Male and Female finishers, Masters Top Male and Female, and Age Group winners for both men and women in every five-year category. Expect creative, unique awards that reflect the spirit of the Palmetto Trail and the pride we have in our participants. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate your achievements with us!

All awards must be picked up at the Awards Ceremony.  Please see a staff member if you need to leave before the ceremony or have a friend get your award for you!  We are not able to hold or ship awards after the race.  We appreciate you understanding!

We want to ensure a smooth and stress-free race day experience for all participants. Parking will be available at the Bethel AME Church parking lot, located at 819 Woodrow Street, Columbia, SC, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on race day. Please be mindful not to park in any reserved spaces within this lot.

Additional street parking is available throughout the Old Shandon Neighborhood. However, we kindly ask that you do not park along King Street, as this area must remain clear for the race.
