The Hilton Head Island Recreation Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people of all ages. The Association produces, provides and coordinates public recreation programs, "wellness" activities and community events. The Association commits itself to monitoring the recreation needs of the community and instituting change where appropriate.

Description - The CHAMBER WAVES TO WELLNESS 5K promises the best that Hilton Head has to offer when it comes to running. You’ll be running on America’s #1 beach (HARD + FLAT + WIDE) with ideal temperatures. Our 9am start means there will be plenty of sunshine at the start line - and, the dolphins will guide you as you run along the beach course.


Start / Finish - All races start and finish oceanfront at the Tiki Hut. All runners and walkers will take out on the beach for a course that heads South - then North (past the start) - continue North - then South again to the finish.
