Mary's Meals 5K Run/Walk, 1 Mile Walk and Kids Dash

Join us for the Race to Feed Kids, a fun and meaningful 5K Run/Walk benefiting Mary’s Meals, a global charity that provides life-changing daily meals to children in their place of education. Held at The Sound at Cypress Waters in Dallas, this race kicks off the Sound of Hope Spring Festival and invites runners, walkers, families, and supporters of all ages to participate. Your $25.20 race registration feeds a child for an entire school year, helping break the cycle of hunger and poverty. The morning begins with a Kids Dash at 8:30 AM followed by the 5K at 8:45 AM, and continues with a vibrant festival featuring live music, food, artisan vendors, games, and family activities. Come run, walk, and celebrate the power of community while helping provide hope and nourishment to children around the world. Participants will receive an event shirt, finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. 
 

Packet Pick Up

We look forward to seeing you at packet pick up. Packet pick up prior to race day is recommended and includes the event shirt, and 5K, 1 Mile or Kids Dash bib. Race day packet pick up will be available at the event starting at 7:45am, and we recommend if you wait for race day to arrive no later than 8am for the kids’ dash, and 8:15am for the 5K and 1 Mile.

•            Thursday, April 23rd from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Landon Winery – Cypress Waters: 3121 Olympus Blvd, Coppell, TX 75019 

•            Friday, April 24th from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Landon Winery – Cypress Waters: 3121 Olympus Blvd, Coppell, TX 75019

•            Saturday, April 25th from 7:45 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. – at the event! The packet pick up tent will be located in the event area at The Sound at Cypress Waters, 3111 Olympus Blvd., Coppell, TX 75019

Race Day Schedule & Spring Festival

•            7:45 AM – Event Open, Race Day Packet Pick Up and Registration

•            8:30 AM – Kids Dash Start

•            8:45 AM – 5K Race Start

•            8:50 AM – 1 Mile Start

•            9:30 AM – Spring Festival Open

•            9:45 AM – 5K Overall and Masters Male & Female Awards Presentation

•            10:00 AM – 5K Age Group Awards Presentation 

•            2:00 PM – Spring Festival Ends

The Swag!

All participants will receive a custom distance bib and event shirt during packet pick up. Commemorative finisher medals will be awarded at the finish line to all participants!

Course Information

All distances in the event are on the paved trails completely within the Cypress Waters development, adjacent to North Lake. The trails are flat and scenic. Course maps coming soon!

Chip Timing

The 5K is a chip timed event, where each participant is required to wear their 5K bib (in the front of their body), in order to be counted in the results. The disposable chip time is attached to the bib which you will receive at packet pick up. The 1 Mile and Kids Dash are not timed events. 

Age Group Awards

Awards for the 5K will be presented at the event and results tabulated based on chip time.

Award Categories

5K awards include: Overall Male and Overall Female, First Place Masters Male and First Place Masters Female and the top three finishers, male and female in the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-20, 21-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
