We are incredibly grateful to Father Jack for blessing our walk and to Woodbridge District Supervisor Jeannie LaCroix for her support of our community and this special event. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our walkers, donors, sponsors, volunteers, parish communities, local businesses, and everyone who helped make this year’s Friends of the Poor Walk a success.

The Friends of the Poor Walk is about more than walking together. It is about coming together as a community to support our neighbors in need and to remind those facing difficult times that they are not alone.

Thank you for walking with us, supporting our mission, and helping us make a difference!

Join us for the Friends of the Poor Walk on October 17, 2026, a 1-mile walk on the track at Rippon Middle School. Community members of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Please help spread the word to support this meaningful event.

This event brings neighbors together for a shared purpose through a walkathon format. Participants sign up to walk and ask friends, family, and others to sponsor them with a donation. Every dollar raised goes directly to the OLA Conference, helping them provide assistance to people in our community.

Whether you walk, volunteer, or donate, your contribution makes a real difference in the lives of those around us. Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community.

Take the next step: Sign up to walk, invite a friend, volunteer, or make a donation today to help us support neighbors in need.
