Description

Enjoy the fall colors on the beautiful rolling trails of the Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation’s Fox Hill Nature Preserve in West Bend, Wisconsin. Help support the conservation of open space in the Cedar Lakes region by joining our 5K trail trail run, 10K trail run, 5K  trail walk or 1-mile trail walk through deciduous forest, restored prairieland, and glacial moraine. You may even see a sandhill crane in the prairie or a bald eagle flying overhead!

Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation

The Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation (CLCF), a 501(c)(3) in West Bend, is one of the oldest land trusts in Wisconsin. All proceeds from this event benefit CLCF and its mission to conserve the natural environment of the Cedar Lakes region. Since 1974, CLCF has helped to protect over 2,900 acres of land, with a goal of reaching 3,600 acres by 2028. CLCF Preserves and Partner Preserves are free and open to the public for hiking and snowshoeing. For more information, visit our website. We hope to see you on the trails!

Course

The course trails will wind through deciduous forest, restored prairieland, and glacial moraine. The course is not suitable for dogs or strollers.

1 mile | 5K | 10K - the 10K is two loops

Aid Stations

There will be one aid station on the course with water and sports drinks. The aid station may be self serve.

T-shirts

Everyone who is registered by noon September 28 will be guaranteed a cotton t-shirt. After that, shirts will be available while online supplies last. Any extra shirts will be distributed after the race on a first come, first served basis.

Parking

Parking is available at 4214 Sleeping Dragon Rd. West Bend, WI 53095. Volunteers will be helping to coordinate parking.

You do not need to print it, but we will need to scan the QR code on the email receipt, so please have your email accessible on your mobile device or save a picture of your receipt with the QR code to your device’s image library.

Awards

Your race time and age group result are available online after you cross the finish line - select RESULTS from the menu above. All 5K and 10K runners will receive a participation award.  The top male and female finishers will receive a special additional award. 

Volunteers Needed

We need volunteers for everything from aid station support to course marshals. If you or your group have an interest in volunteering, we would greatly appreciate the assistance. Register to volunteer by clicking on the volunteer link in the menu above.

Race Insurance

Insurance is available for almost all of our events. The insurance is offered through a third party.

Weather/Refund Policy

Refunds are not permitted for any reason.

The event will be held unless severe weather occurs. In the event of severe weather, the race director may delay or cancel the event. If the event is canceled, there will be no refunds. Silver Circle Sports Events has a NO REFUND policy.

How to transfer, defer, change shirt sizes and change distances

  • Login into RunSignUp.com
  • Select your Profile.
  • Scroll down to the race you would like to modify.
  • Select "Manage Registration".
  • All of your options will be listed in the menu.
  • *Deferrals must be completed 10 days prior to event.

Timing
