GEM 5K: Pam Olson 2025
Place
Haysville, KS US 67060
Description
Student Council would like to announce Pam Olson as our 2025 beneficiary for the Gary Engels Memorial (GEM) 5K . Gary Engels was an English teacher at Campus High School who left a legacy at Campus and in the Haysville Community. In his honor a new beneficiary is chosen each year.
Pam is a math teacher at Campus High School (CHS). Pam was chosen as this year's beneficiary because she has been battling a brain tumor, meningitis, and diabetic retinopathy. To help treat the brain tumor she participated in the Cyberknife program and radiation treatments. She also has been going through a series of injections, laser treatments, and surgeries to treat the retinopathy.
Students love Ms. Olson and many say that she makes learning math fun! She has been at CHS for over 30 years and has taught many generations.
Please help support Ms. Olson by joining our race this year on April 26th. Check in starts that day at 9am. The race will begin at 9:30am. Registration includes a t-shirt. However, a t-shirt is not guaranteed if signing up after April 11th. Please invite friends and family to join you in the race.
If you cannot make it, but would like to donate you may do so here as well.
The race will begin and end on the North side of Riggs Park at the Timberlane Shelter in Haysville, KS, and follow the bike/walking path.
This race is not officially timed.
