Description

Please join us for our annual 5K Prairie Moon Pumpkin Fun Run! The 5K race begins and ends at Prairie Moon Waldorf School at 9:30am. Not up for a 5K? We have a <1 mile fun run/obstacle course for younger ones at 10:30am. Join us at the finish line for pumpkin painting, chess, additional games, tacos, coffee and baked goods. 

 

The race will be officially timed, but not certified. Course runs along the gravel road (1600 Rd) in front of school to the Mud Creek levee trail and back. Race is $37 per person +fees for 18+ years old and includes a t-shirt. Youth 17 years of age and younger $10 per person with option to buy a t-shirt for $15. Each 5k registration comes with a timed bib. The Fun Run also come with the ability to add a shirt for $20 each. If you want a t-shirt but do not want to run, feel free to register to the Fun Run and add a shirt.  We cannot ensure t-shirt sizes after October 11th. 

 

Each 5k registration and each $10 donation increment also gives you one raffle ticket for a Garmin Forerunner running watch. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase the day of the race. There will also be some prizes for top finishers donated by local stores including Sunflower Outdoor & Bike Shop, River Rat Skate Shop, and Garmin.

 

Packet pick-up will be at Fleet Feet at 839 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, KS 66044 Friday October 25th, the day before the event from 3-7 pm and the morning of the race from 8:30-9:15 am inside the school. 5k Race will start at 9:30am and kids friendly <1 mile fun run/obstacle course will follow at 10:30. The fun run is not timed. Feel free to leave post race or to join in the fun that follows as long as you want. We will have JB's Taco Truck, coffee and baked goods, pumpkin painting, face painting, food truck, chess, coffee, baked goods, hot cocoa and other activities.
