Join us for a fun family event, Saturday October 26. This 5k fundraiser run/walk on the beautiful Indian Creek Trail will be a great lead-in to your Halloween festivities! Face paint for the young (and young at heart), costumes encouraged! In addition to the race, there will be a costume contest, with a parade for the kids, as well as other activities. Race entries only $25 until midnight September 30 - $15 for kids 12 and under!
Every runner will receive a swag bag of goodies (all treats, no tricks!). Special trophies for overall and age group winners, as well!
There is limited parking available at the park, with additional legal parking along Indian Creek Parkway and some space at the Indian Creek Trailhead across Blackbob (take the Trail to the park!).
1DOS Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization based in Olathe, dedicated to providing fitness scholarships. We find candidates who are looking to get healthy, needing to get fit (often for medical reasons) - but can't afford the associated costs. Our scholarships provide gym memberships, fresh produce, and other assistance to these committed individuals.
The event is presented by J&J Printing, www.jjprint.com. Locally owned and operated for 34 years, the J&J family is ready to handle your printing needs, from a straightforward flyer to a bound presentation book - and everything in between!

Meet Deana Novak! Deana is our current fitness scholarship recipient. After being told by doctors that she wouldn't live to see her kids graduate high school unless she made some changes, Deana had the motivation she needed. However, with 4 young children and her husband newly laid off, the financial was a huge issue. 1DOS Foundation has filled that gap, sponsoring Deana to go to the gym 4 times a week, providing fresh, healthy food options for the family, and the support to keep moving forward.
While we are thrilled to provide that support, we are even more excited to share that Deana is providing the drive. She gets up early and works out at 4:30 to make everything fit in her family schedule. She is putting in the work, and she is reaping the results - 12 pounds and 14 inches lost in her first 6 weeks, in fact!!
