Spring Cross Country 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run - Clapp Cross Country Course | Wichita, KS

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind spring racing experience on the official home course of the Wichita State Shockers Cross Country team! Unlike a typical road race, this true cross country event takes you over grass, rolling hills, and open fields, challenging both your endurance and racing strategy.

Spring is the perfect time to gauge your fitness, shake off the winter rust, and compete against fellow runners, clubs, and corporate teams in a fun yet competitive atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned racer or a weekend warrior, this race offers an exciting challenge for all levels.

Awards & Team Competitions -5K

Individual Awards: Top 3 finishers in each Men's and Women's age group, plus the top overall male and female winners.

Team Challenge: Form a squad of friends (open) or co-workers (affiliated) and race for the fastest team average time! (unlimited entrants for your team, but the average time of the top 3 finishers for an Unaffiliated/Open division team and the top 5 finishers for an Affiliated division team counts.)

1.  Unaffiliated/Open Division  (Men| Women): Create your own team of 3 or more people. You do NOT have to work together or be affiliated in any way with a common employer.  Running clubs, triathlon clubs and any group comprised of 3 or more people are invited to participate in this division.

2.  Affiliated Division (Men| Women): Create your own team of 5 or more people. Represent and compete with people who work for the same employer (school, company, fire department, police department, etc) and battle for bragging rights! 

*There are currently no divisions for co-ed teams (but we will consider adding them in future races).

Awards - 1 Mile

Awards will go out to the top 3 male and female finishers overall.

All finishers of the 1 Mile Run will receive a medal.
