The Chainring Challenge
starts at 12:00 noon at B-Fit Personal Training on Saturday, March the 10th and runs through Sunday noon March the 11th. There is plenty of parking at the center (the other merchants would probably prefer that we utilize the middle and last rows of parking spaces.)
As an individual rider, you can choose to ride as many hours you feel comfortable. The challenge is to solicit donations based on the number of hours you ride.
Teams are required to have one rider on the bike for the duration (24-hours). The team captain can assign team members time slots.
Awards are presented to the team that raises the most money.
All proceeds benefit Warm Blessing. Warm Blessings, Inc. (WB) is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to ministering to the whole person. The corporation is organized for the purpose of providing meals to hungry people with the vision to offer emergency shelter to people in crisis. Our goal is to serve patrons with dignity and compassion.
Hot meals are served Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at 609 E. Dixie by E-Town Donut in Elizabethtown, KY. Showers and use of the washer and dryer are available by appointment. Meals are delivered on Monday and Thursday to seniors who are shut-in and frail due to age and illness.
Packets can be picked up Friday 7:00 -5:00 pm and Saturday day morning starting at 8:00 am.
Make sure to bring your bike, your trainer (teams can utilize multiple trainers so that you don't have to bring 6) and a water bottle for your bike. You will have use of our locker room and showers but please bring your own towels and toiletries. Make sure to bring multiple outfits if needed for the 24 hours.
We will have a free t-shirt for every participant as well as snacks and water. *We do ask that sodas are not brought into the facility because of the flooring.
