EVENT DETAILS
5K Run/Walk: Starting at 8am in Old Gretna on the Mississippi River levee across from the RiverShack (714 1st St. Gretna), the Pink Bra Run offers one of the most beautiful views of the New Orleans skyline. The fun run/walk starts at 8am at the Gretna Ferry Landing, heads straight down the levee path to the designate turnaround at the bridges and head back towards the start/finish line. Show up in running gear or in costume or both – remember, this is a Pink Bra Run/Walk …so bedazzle that bra and let's get some fresh air!
8Mile Scenic Bike Ride: Starting at 7:30am at the Algiers Ferry Landing, cyclists take a 8-mile leisurely tour downriver to Federal City, through Algiers Point, and finish at the RiverShack in Old Gretna with the runners/walkers. Riders need to report to the Algiers Ferry Landing at 7:00am for a group start at 7:30am. Like the runners, be sure and costume up. You might even win the Best Decorated Bra Contest.
After Party & Festival of Hope: The post-run/bike party features the Best Decorated Bra Contest, Survivor's Dance, kids activities, and more. What's a New Orleans party without food? We will be serving jambalaya, red beans and rice, Pabst Blue Ribbon beer and water under the Jefferson Memorial Arch.
