Hopefest 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run is a charity race benefitting special needs children through the STM Options Program. We are excited that we were the first ever 5k race in the brand new, beautiful Moncus Park.

We will have a 1 mile loop for walkers, children, and strollers. All proceeds go to support special needs kids through the STM Options Program.   Not a runner, then come out and stroll for a good cause and enjoy all the festivities.

Pre-registration cost is $30 and the walk up rate is $35.

Pre-registration ends on March 1st at 7:00pm. 

Race t-shirts are guaranteed if registered by 2/26/24.  After that date it will be "first come first serve" of what is left after the race on race day.

Stick around after the race for the all-day Hopefest music festival right there on the water front at Moncus Park. Boiled crawfish, jambalaya, BBQ, fun jumps, face-painting, kids games, and much more.

Parking available at Moncus Park. Overflow parking at Cajunfield with Shuttle service provided. 

Packet Pickup:

Packet Pickup will be held at Geaux Run on Friday, March 1st from 2 pm till 6 pm.  We will have packet pickup on race morning at Moncus Park starting at 7:30 am.

Awards:

For the 5K:  Award certificates will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in all age groups. Cash prizes will be given to the overall winner in the male and female category. 

Age Groups: 

9 & Under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over

The race is professionally timed by Cajun Timing and will be chipped timed.

*Charitable donations, to support the cause for special needs kids, will be available at the race.
