Weather Update

Due to the weather, Born to Run – New Orleans presented by Miguel A. Elias will no longer take place at Lafreniere Park. This is not a decision we made lightly. Please know we have made every attempt to reschedule but were not able to find an alternate date/time.

Wear your Born to Run shirt and join us for the best ever celebration of life at our indoor Born to Run “Birth”day Party! Our generous food donors have already prepared for the event and will have plenty to offer at the party. Join us for delicious food, music, kids’ activities, and more. We want to see all the beautiful Born to Run t-shirt colors and teams represented!
On-site registration will still be available for those who would like to participate.

Once the weather clears, run or walk whenever and wherever you want—a park, a treadmill, your neighborhood—pick your own route and start time! Complete your 1/2-mile or 5K distance anytime between now and Sunday, April 6! Don’t forget to time your run to be eligible for prizes!

How to time your run:

Track your run on your favorite running/walking app and take a picture of your distance, run time, and date. Send a photo of your results to Bertha with Pelican Timing at blanthier54@aol.com by Sunday, April 6, at 11:59pm! In addition to being eligible for category prizes, everyone who submits a time will have a chance to win a goodie bag of fun WNLC swag! Your bib number will serve as your raffle ticket number.
We will announce winners through email and the race website!

Help women in need at Born to Run — New Orleans 5K & 1/2-Mile Fun Run presented by Miguel A. Elias APLC. Both races are open to all ages and skill levels.

Woman’s New Life Clinic is a life-affirming counseling and medical clinic that serves women facing unplanned pregnancies in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge communities.

Event includes t-shirt, race prizes, and post-race party featuring free food, music, and fun for the whole family.

Register by Mon, Feb 24, to receive a shirt.
