Christmas in Lafreniere Park Run/Walk

The Crescent City Classic will hold their holiday run/walk in beautiful Lafreniere Park on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 4:00 pm.
The 2-mile course takes you through Lafreniere Park during their annual Christmas in the Park Lights Display, which is decorated with over 10 million LED lights!  These festive displays include traditional Christmas lighted figures, the 60 foot Sea Serpent in the lagoon, and many NOLA favorites! The event is filled with hot cocoa, a visit with Santa, a holiday costume contest, and much more!

Run competitively or enjoy a leisurely walk through the park with friends and family.  
Participants can enjoy free refreshments and complimentary entry into both the Christmas in the Park Lights Driving Tour AND the Walking Tour of the beautifully lighted Pavilion Island BEFORE the gates are open to the general public! 

Registration Details

All participants will receive:

- Commemorative Christmas in Lafreniere Park Race Bib 
- Long Sleeve Glow-in-the-Dark T-shirt (children's sizes available)
- Free entry into Christmas in the Park Driving Tour  
- Free entry into the Christmas in the Park Pavilion Island Walking Light Display (Entry before the general public) 

Children 3 - 10 years old receive $5 off the cost of registration. Children under 3 years do not need to register to participate in the race or enter Lafreniere Park Lights Display.

Packet Pick-Up Info

EARLY PACKET PICK-UP OPTION: Participants can pick-up their shirts and bibs at the Crescent City Classic office building located at 320 Metairie Hammond Hwy on Thursday 12/8/22 from 5:30-7:30 pm.  A friend can pick up your packet for you. We will be able to look up your shirt size, etc on our registration app.

DIRECTIONS FOR DRIVE-THRU PACKET PICK-UP:

Our office building is located in Bucktown near R&O's Restaurant and has a waterfall and bead dog in the front. Enter the first-floor parking garage of the building located on Seminole Ave. and drive through the garage/around the horseshoe. 

RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP OPTION: Pick up your shirts and bibs on race day, Saturday 12/10/22, beginning at 2:30 pm at the Al Copeland Concert Stage in Lafreniere Park.

Toys For Tots

The Toys for Tots Program is accepting monetary and toy donations. There are two ways to give:

1. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate for a child in need - look for the Toys for Tots table near registration to drop off your toy.
2. You can make a monetary donation during registration. 

Your support helps millions of less fortunate children share in the magic of the holidays. Your donation goes directly to the Toys for Tots mission of providing toys, books, and other gifts to less fortunate children.

Race Day Schedule

2:30 PM: Festivities begin including photos with Santa, Kids Fun Zone with inflatables and face painting, and refreshments - Gumbo, Hot Chocolate, beer, and MORE!. Packet Pick-up and Registration opens.
3:00 PM: Vehicles must enter the Park from Veterans Memorial Blvd. Park will be closed to the public at 3:00PM. Participant/Parking Pass or race bib needed to enter the park.
3:45 PM: Park entrance gates locked.
4:00PM: The Christmas in Lafreniere Park Run/Walk begins!
5:00 PM: Lafreniere Park Driving and Walking Lights Display opens for race participants only.
5:30 PM: General public allowed to enter the Lafreniere Park Lights Display. Enter at the West Napoleon gates with your race bib for free admission. Place your race bib on dashboard of car. Attendance is on 12/10/22 ONLY.
