About This Event
Kick off your holiday weekend the right way with the biggest Thanksgiving Day race on the South Shore.
The Hingham High School Turkey Trot 5K is dedicated to providing a fast, fun, and fulfilling Thanksgiving Day road race to benefit the Boys and Girls Cross-Country and Track & Field programs of Hingham High School. Race proceeds go to the Hingham High School XC/Track Boosters to provide assistance with expenses including coaches salaries, track meet timing, additional equipment and more.
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers overall as well as top 3 male and female in each age group (1-4, 5-9, 10-13, 14-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+).
Price increase: An additional $5 will be charged for all registrants who enter on or after Nov. 27
Race starts at 7:30am.

Running strollers please start in the back
No dogs allowed on the race course (please reach out to southshorerace@gmail.com if you need to participate with a trained service animal)
Bib & Shirt Pickup
Pickup for all days and times listed below will be held at Hingham High School Cafeteria, 17 Union Street, Hingham, MA. Pick dates & times are for all participants except where noted.
- Tuesday, November 26th from 3:00pm - 7:00pm
- HINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY - Wednesday, November 27th from 11:00am - 12:00pm
- Wednesday, November 27th from 12:00pm - 6:00pm
- Thursday, November 28th from 6:00am - 7:10am
Parking
- Hingham High School: 17 Union Street - school lot and baseball field lot - walk to start
- South Shore Baptist Church: 578 Main Street - 1 mile shuttle ride to start
