We are proud to announce the 2025 Sheriff’s Shuffle 5K Run/Walk — a powerful community event that brings people together to raise awareness and take action against domestic violence in Western Massachusetts.
This year, Sheriff Nick Cocchi is once again partnering with the YWCA of Western Massachusetts to support survivors and prevent domestic violence before it turns deadly. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the YWCA’s critical programs that empower individuals and provide life-saving resources to those in crisis.
The Sheriff’s Shuffle has become more than just a race — it’s a movement. Each year, we gather to honor survivors, support families, and strengthen the local organizations working tirelessly to make our communities safer. Your sponsorship or participation helps amplify these efforts and ensures that no one has to face domestic violence alone.
We invite you to consider becoming a sponsor, registering to run or walk, or making a donation of any amount. Sponsorship opportunities are outlined in the attached sheet.
This year’s Sheriff’s Shuffle will be taking place at The Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke, MA, on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Day-of registration and post-race entertainment will take place at The Holyoke Elks.

Date: Sunday, September 7th, 2025
Place: Ashley Reservoir, Holyoke, MA
Elks Lodge, Holyoke, MA
Race Day Schedule:
9:00am-10:00am - Registration /check-in at the Elks Lodge (a short distance from the starting line).
10:30am - Race begins
11:00am - Live entertainment, games, and a raffle
Entry Fee:
- $35.00 - Before race day
- $40.00 - Day of the race
A free long sleeve dry fit shirt is included with registration.
The 3.1-mile running course is a flat loop trail which circles the pristine reservoir. The 1.5-mile walking course will also be on site.
After the race, join us on the back lawn for a celebration which will include live music by acoustic rock duo CO2, food, refreshments, awards, games, and a raffle! Please note: food, beverages, and the raffle will require cash.
Limited parking is available at the Elks Lodge at 250 Whitney Ave, Holyoke MA. Overflow parking will be close by, with shuttle service available before and after the run/walk.
