The Ipswich Human Rights Commission and Town of Ipswich are happy to announce
the 2nd Annual
Love Your Neighbors 5K Walk/Run
Date: Saturday, October 5th, 2024
Run/Walk Start Time: 10:00AM (Event day registration will open at 8:45AM)
The Love Your Neighbors 5K is an event meant to bring the Ipswich community and others together in the spirit of unity, and to advance social awareness. Each year, the Love Your Neighbors 5K will highlight & emphasize an event, group, or person who represents the spirit of equity, inclusion, and diversity.
This Year We Will Honor and Remember the:
Ipswich Millworkers Strike of 1913
Housing is a Human Right!
In 1913, striving for better working conditions and a stronger livelihood, Ipswich Mills’ largely immigrant workforce unionized and went on strike.
Join us in October and learn about how this group contributed to the cultural diversity of Ipswich,
and how their story is similar to what many families search for today!
Registration Fee's:
$25 through 7/30
$30 through 10/4 at 7pm
$40 on race day
**Youth 15 & Under - $20 through 8/31, $25 through race day
Swag: T-Shirts not included in the above fee, but will be available for purchase; $10!! ...through your registration. (Adult Sizes Only)
Packet Pickup/Event Day Reg: Opens on event day only at 8:45AM at race site. No early pickup unless otherwise noted.
Post Race Festivities: Refreshments and sustenance from our neighbors in and around Ipswich! Stay tuned for more details.
Awards: Top 3 Overall Adult and Youth Male and Female Runners & along with other Fun Prizes!
Accessibility: The race course is flat and fast! Stay tuned for a map.
Participants with joggers, strollers, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids or assistive devices are all welcome and encouraged to join! This course is open to traffic.
Parking: Suggested Parking in the Hammatt St. Public Parking Lot, and the Saltonstall St. lot (the parking lot at Take Out Terrace on Union St. will be closed for the event)
Weather: This event will take place rain or shine.
