Join us for a fun and inspiring multi-sport event to support Longmeadow’s own Cheryl Lilley as she heads to Wollongong, Australia to represent Team USA at the World Triathlon Age-Group Championships

Hosted by Fleet Feet Longmeadow, this event offers something for everyone—whether you walk, run, ride, or cheer from the sidelines. All proceeds go directly toward covering Cheryl’s travel and race expenses as she competes on the world stage.

Meet Cheryl:

Cheryl is a 60 yr old woman who started running in her 20’s with a goal to lose weight and run the NYC marathon. After dealing with shin splints for a year, she started swimming for rehabilitation.  A colleague recommended she take up Triathlon since she was already pursuing 2 out of 3 disciplines.  And that’s how her Triathlete journey started.

Over the years, Cheryl experienced a wide range of running injuries and a ski injury that tore her ACL.  At one point, she thought she would never run pain free again.  After hiring several coaches, rehabilitation, and exploring a variety of self care techniques and services, she was able to complete in sprints and half ironman distances.

Cheryl has now completed the 2021 Maryland Ironman and several half Ironman events that earned her spots in the 2022 and 2023 Half Ironman World Championships.  She also earned a spot in the USAT Age-Group National Championships in 2023 and 2024.  Now, Cheryl has earned a slot at the World Triathlon Age Group Championships on Team USA at the Wollongong Australia event this Oct 15-20th, 2025.  Let’s help her get to Australia to represent Team USA.
