Description

NCF's 4th Annual Batacular Mountain Bike Race!

When: Sunday, October 27 at 10:00 a.m.
Where: Start and finish at 220 Milestone Road, the scenic Milestone cranberry bogs.

Experience the beauty of the Nantucket's open spaces by riding through NCF's Middle Moors trails. Choose your challenge: a single loop of 8.4 miles or a double loop of 16.8 miles.

Your participation supports NCF’s vital work protecting Nantucket’s natural resources through ecological research, public access to 9,000 acres of land, and environmental education.

Details:

  • Recommended bikes: mountain or fat tire bikes; experienced riders may also use gravel or cyclocross bikes.
  • Helmets are mandatory.
  • The course features sandy dirt roads, winding single-track trails, and technical sections with rocks, roots, and scrub oak obstacles.
  • Typical lap times range from 35 minutes for the fastest riders to about 60 minutes.
  • An aid station at Altar Rock (about halfway through) will offer water and Halloween candy to keep you energized. 
  • Please bring your own water bottle.

After the race, join us for the family-friendly Fall Festival with live music, food trucks, NCF cranberries, and more!
