Redbrook's Spring Scamper Fun Run & 5K

Join the excitement on Sunday, June 1st as we lace up for our annual Spring Scamper Fun Run and 5K. This exhilarating 5K and Fun Run isn't just about crossing the finish line - it's about empowering local children with the gift of summer camp at the Old Colony YMCA's Camp Clark!

Every stride you take and every dollar you contribute will light up the lives of kids in our community, giving them unforgettable experiences, lifelong friendships, and cherished memories. Let's come together, run/walk with purpose, and spread joy to those who need it most.

Spring Scamper Fun Run and 5K

100% of the event’s proceeds will benefit the campers of Old Colony YMCA's Camp Clark. We are proud to partner with The Old Colony YMCA to provide scholarships for families who may not be able to afford their wonderful summer camp. Let's work together to make summer camp happen for our local children.

Everyone is invited and the more, the merrier. Tell your friends, families, neighbors, colleagues and anyone who might like to join our event to support our little campers.

The Spring Scamper Fun Run for kids begins at 9:00am and the 5K is planned to start at 9:30am.

Both runs/walks will begin and end at The Kennard Barn, where awards will be given and then festivities will continue afterward on the Redbrook Green and at the Old Colony YMCA.

Early registration offers a discount, so sign up today, tell a friend, mark your calendar, and get excited! Early bird signup will end on Friday, May 26th so please register before then (get the discount before that date).

This event is open to anyone who would like to join – runners, walkers, parents, grandparents, friends, and folks pushing strollers too!

Schedule for the Day

Park at the Old Colony YMCA located in Redbrook. There will be a shuttle to bring you from the parking lot to The Kennard Barn.
9am - Fun Run Kicks Off | The Kennard Barn
9:30 - 5K Run/Walk Kicks Off | The Kennard Barn

There will be a shuttle to bring you from The Barn back to the YMCA after the Spring Scamper.

Shuttles will run until everyone is back to the parking lot.

Pet Policy
Due to insurance and liability issues imposed, no pets are allowed at the Spring Scamper 5K and Fun Run. That means NO DOGS allowed with runners or walkers on the course and we kindly ask spectators to leave ALL PETS at home. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Of course, licensed/certified service animals are welcome.

Spring Scamper T-shirts
Spring Scamper t-shirts will be given out to all participants (children and adults) who register to participate before May 12th. We cannot guarantee t-shirt giveaways for those who register after that date.

Parking
Please park in the YMCA parking lot located at 2 Greenside Way South, Plymouth, MA (located in the Redbrook community).

Shuttles
Shuttle will be available to and from the YMCA parking lot to The Kennard Barn.

Weather
This event is rain or shine.

Our Spring Scamper Course

A wooded nature trail situated among one of Massachusetts' most beautiful wonders - cranberry bogs! The trail surface includes sand, stones, grass, turf, mud, and asphalt. Walking and strollers encouraged but please be sure they can travel over cranberry roads.

Covid-19
We ask that any participant, spectator, volunteer that is not feeling well in ANY way do not attend the event. We expect all attendees to adhere to the most current state and local recommendations for the safety and security of all.
