2025 Polar Bear Plunge was one for the records at almost 25k raised, this event directly allowed the Shark ecology program to:
1. Leveraged to secure a $100k grant from Unite BVI
2. Hire the shark ecology programs first seasonal technician for the summer of 2025
3. Tagged over 100 sharks from 7 different species including Tiger, Hammerhead, Nurse, Lemon, Caribbean Reef, Caribbean Sharpnose, and Blacknose sharks.
4. Replaced lost and damaged equipment on Cape Cod
5. Tracked an additional 63 individual white sharks across 5 Cape Cod beaches.
