BCNC Quincy's Family Fun Run is a 5K race will take place on Saturday, July 29th, 2023 at Merrymount Park in Quincy, and we can't wait to see you there!
The Family Fun Run celebrates BCNC Quincy’s impact on the Asian and immigrant community. All ages are welcome to run or walk or join us virtually. All in-person participants will be eligible for raffle prizes. Proceeds raised from this run will go to support youth leadership programs, adult English classes, and mental health support services for Asian and new immigrants. Afterwards, head on over to BCNC Quincy’s Family Fun Fair at Cavanaugh Stadium to enjoy Arts & Crafts, Cultural Performances, Games, and Activities.

FAQ
Is the race timed? How do I record my results?
Times will be announced to runners as they cross the finish line and can be self-recorded. Please note: we will not have timed chips or an official race timing system.
Do I have to be a runner to join?
We welcome all levels. Running and walking are both welcome.
Will I get a race t-shirt?
Race t-shirts will be available to those who register by June 30th for the in person run.
When can I pick up my race bib?
For early bib pickup, there will be two windows to pick up your bib at BCNC (38 Ash Street, Boston, MA):
- Friday 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Friday 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Race-day bib pick-up on Saturday, July 29th will be between 6:45 am and 7:45 am, so please plan accordingly if you’re unable to pick up your bib before race day.
When do prices for registration increase?
Register before June 30th, 2023 to receive an $10 early registration discount and be guaranteed a race t-shirt. Starting July 1st, regular registration will increase to $35. On day-of (Saturday, July 29th, 2023), registration will increase to $40.
What kind of terrain will we be running and walking on?
This family friendly course is 3.1 miles of groomed trails and fields through Quincy’s beautiful Merrymount Park. Start and Finish will be at the boathouse just around the corner from parking lot.
What is the route for the race?
Please see the image below and familiarize yourself with the course. Due to construction, we've made some minor changes to the course to help ensure a safe and fun experience. The run will begin at the William F. Ryan Boathouse, proceed counter-clockwise, and finish back at the Boathouse. Orange cones, signs, and course marshals will be stationed along the course to help guide participants.
How do I enter to win raffle prizes? How will winners receive their prize?
All registrants are eligible to win raffle prizes. The winners for the top five raffle prizes will be announced at the end of the race on day of. All other winners will be notified via email and announced on BCNC's website. Prizes will be mailed directly to winners or will be available for pickup at BCNC Boston, 38 Ash Street, Boston, MA 02111.
Rain Plan
The run will continue rain or shine. In the event of thunder and lightning, the race will pause and all participants must return to their cars or under nearby shelter. The race will resume after conditions are deemed safe.
Parking
There is free parking available at Merrymount Park by the Ruth Gordon Amphitheater.
Will there be medical assistance on-site during the race?
Yes - Brewster Ambulance will be on-site with an ambulance and medical staff to address any health emergencies during the race.
