2nd Annual Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run

Welcome to the: 2nd Annual Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk & Kids 1 Mile Fun Run.

Hosted By: Rowley Volunteer Fire Protection Association

The Rowley Volunteer Fire Protection Association (RVFPA) is hosting its "2nd Annual Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk & Kids 1 Mile Fun Run". This event helps to raise funds for our Rowley Veterans Committee (RVC). Veterans account for 6% of the Rowley population. We have 277 Male Veterans and 20 Female Veterans for a total of 297 Veterans living here in the Town of Rowley. Veterans are facing multiple challenges throughout their careers. Their enhanced training and advanced technologies have given them the ability to provide extreme medical care in the field which has allowed many active military members to be brought home. Due to some extensive injuries and long term health effects they will need more services in the future to enable their quality of life. Together, the RVFPA and RVC, hope to raise enough funds to be able to assist our 297 Veterans here in the Town of Rowley. 

Festivities will begin around 09:00a.m. and conclude around 1:00p.m. The 5K Run/Walk starts at 10:00a.m. followed immediately by the Kids 1 Mile Fun Run at 11:00a.m. Following the race, we will have foods trucks for purchasing foods and beverages. Photo Booth Set-Up to create some race day memories! Come on down and enjoy the day, whether you are going to participate in one of the races or cheer on other community members, it will be an amazing time!

We are SEEKING SPONSORS for our race-day t-shirt "SPONSOR SQUARES". To sponsor a square please make a minimum donation of $1000.00. This donation will  get the sponsor a FULL-COLOR print of YOUR LOGO on the race-day T-Shirt Giveaway for the participants and volunteers. You will also receive a Race Day T-Shirt to say thank you for your support. We are looking to get a minimum of 9 donation sponsors for the race. The back of shirt will be divided into "squares". If you would like to sponsor more than one square with a larger donation, please email with the request so we can adjust placement of the sponsor logos on the shirt. Three Sweet Peas Bakery Cafe will have a table to purchase your sweet treats for fueling up after the race or bring a treat home and enjoy an evening snack!

The Kids 1 Mile Fun Run will REMAIN on the Town Common. For the SAFETY of the children, they will start the race on Summer St and run through the timing arch, then they will get to the end of the common, turn right and run three laps around the common (1 mile loop) and then finish that last lap by running back through the timing Arch.
