Kristen Hoar-Polizzotto passed away from a 5 year battle with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma on
Dec 21st, 2019. Kristen was just 36 when she passed. She leaves behind her son Cayden (7) and her husband Bryan.Kristen was a Dennis-Yarmouth graduate and ran 3 seasons for 4 years for her Dad at DY. Kristen always wanted to be a coach. She was fortunate to become a guidance counselor at Stoneham HS as well as the girls XC - Indoor - Outdoor track coach.
To honor Kristen’s legacy, her family has created a virtual 5k - walk - run. All monies generated go to a scholarship in her name.
In 2021 her family gave out 4 scholarships to deserving seniors from both schools. This past spring (May 14th), DY and Stoneham girls track team met together in Stoneham to have the first annual Kristen Games promoting her legacy and sportsmanship between the two schools. A member of the MSTCA scholarship committee, Kristen helped many - and we hope to continue her legacy through the Kristen Hoar-Polizzotto virtual 5k walk or run.
It can be completed any time with June 22nd as the final day.
