6-Hour Run
Place
265 Bullard Boulevard
Annapolis, MD US 21402
Description
Twin race to the Annapolis Striders Endless Summer 6-Hour Run, this is a “fat-ass” style race held in January to benefit the Annapolis Light House Shelter of Maryland.
By definition, “FAT ASS is the name given to a series of low key runs that are frequented by experienced runners and walkers and characterized by the phrase “No Fees, No Awards, No Aid, No Wimps”. Because the runs are not races in any sense, there is no guarantee of anything other than a course to run. There are no course marshals, and no course markers, and you should not expect any aid either. They are an exercise in self-help.”
Registration Instructions
This registration has two parts:
1) Fill out and mail the registration form to the address below with a $25 check (made payable to The Light House). As part of your registration in this race, you are making a direct donation to the Light House Shelter. The registration form to be completed and mailed will download when you click on the "Sign Up" button above.
2) On race morning, the runner's check is returned upon request if at least 10 food items are provided or a reasonable amount of items from the Needs – Annapolis Light House web site.
If you don’t show up or show up empty-handed, we donate your check to The Light House in place of the items you would have donated. Full Disclosure – we will ask to keep and donate your check and the food items. We hope to have something on race day that you can have instead of returning your check. It’s also 100% fine to take your check back.
Please review the shelter’s needs at https://annapolislighthouse.org/get-involved/needs/#top or on the registration form.
No items accepted that are expired, in dented cans or opened packaging. Plastic containers preferred over glass when possible.
