Cobb Island Crab Trot 5K Run/Walk

Invitation

Lace up your sneakers and join us, Saturday, November 9, 2024, for the 2nd annual Cobb Island Crab Trot 5K Run/Walk. Invite your family, invite your friends, invite your neighbors, invite your neighbors' friends.  All are invited and welcome to participate. The 5K route will take you around the perimeter of the Island with scenic views of Neale Sound, Potomac River and the Wicomico River.  Wear your favorite crab themed attire or costume, prizes to be awarded for best in show. You could also wear red, white, and blue in honor of Veterans Day and all who have served our beautiful Country.

This family-friendly race day welcomes participants of all ages, whether you're a competitive or amateur runner, a casual jogger or a walker.

A Fast Dash is being held for children 10 years and younger.

Race is rain or shine. No refunds or deferrals.

Chip timing is provided by Overland Timing.

Registration

Little Crabs/Soft Shell Fast Dash- $10, Register by October 14, 2024, to guarantee your commemorative race day t-shirt and drink ticket! Fee changes to $15 after October 14, 2024. Drink ticket and race bib and included.

Hard Crabs/Crab Trot 5K- $40, Register by October 14, 2024, to guarantee your commemorative race day t- shirt, finisher medal and drink ticket! Fee changes to $50 after October 14, 2024. Drink ticket and race bib included.

Race Packet Pick-up

Friday, November 8, 2024. Cobb Island Citizens Association Hall, 13201 Main Avenue, Cobb Island, MD.

6:00 pm -8:00 pm

Bring a non-perishable food item, all donations go to your local food pantry and feed people in need right here in your area. 

Race Day Timeline

7:00am-8:00am: Race Day packet pickup, there is still time to register
8:00am-8:15am: Optional Group Guided Warm-up/Stretch with Island Fitness

8:15am-8:20am: Opening Ceremony

8:20am-8:25am: Group Photo of the Whole Bushel and Prize awarded for Best Crab themed attire or costume

8:25am-8:40am: Little Crabs/Soft Shell Fast Dash commences
8:45am-10:15am: Hard Crabs/Crab Trot 5K Run/Walk commences 

10:15am: Prizes awarded

Recognition

Prizes awarded for best crab attire/costume. 

Prizes awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age category.

Non-Profit
