Located in the scenic hills of Northeastern Maryland, the Fair Hill Nature Center provides high quality, hands-on, environmental education opportunities for the students of Cecil County Public Schools.

Our educators see approximately 5100 elementary students during the school year for grade level specific field trips exploring topics such as water quality (5th grade), soil science (4th grade), ecosystems and adaptations (3rd grade), insects and their life cycles (2nd grade) and even what animals do in winter (Kindergarten).
As with most small businesses in this difficult COVID era, we have had to reevaluate, refocus and rework quite a bit of what we do. But a committed staff, great programming and lots of hard work has brought us through this time better and more determined than ever to provide students, their families and the public at large with quality, enjoyable outdoor activities through out the calendar year.

The Fair Hill Nature Center connects children and adults to the environment by educating, engaging and exploring our local natural resources.

Our Mission: We work to inspire stewardship and community through outdoor environmental education.
