Event Description
Hello there Trolley Trail users. RunnersHy, Haraka Run & Walk and the Anacostia Trail Heritage Area are teaming up to offer family friendly fun runs on Trolley Trail Day, Saturday, June 13, 2026.
We will gather at Haraka Run and Walk and end at Melrose Skatepark.
Three options will be offered including a friendly 5K, a stronger 10K and last but not least a family friendly 1 mile walk/run. The goal of each is to enjoy our connected community by using the Trolley Trail. The events will end at approximately the same time for a plank challenge at Melrose Skatepark.
This just over 5K course heads north on the Trolley Trail into Riverdale. A brief detour onto Woodberry Street to circle the Snail Trail helps us make our distance goals before turning south to finish at Melrose Skatepark.
The Trolley Trail Day 10K leaves at 8:30 AM ET and travels north from Hyattsville to Berwyn Heights before reversing course at Quebec Street. The course ends at Melrose Skatepark at the edge of Hyattsville and Brentwood.
Walk or run from our starting point near Haraka, to Melrose Skatepark. We will meet up with vendors and other race participants for the annual plank challenge.
