Salisbury Bible Fellowship (1500 Court Plaza Ln) has again kindly provided their support and their facility for the race start and finish. They are located right on the course and are committing to making race day a day of service for their church!

Timothy Kennard, 48 years old, and father of a 7-year-old son, passed away on March 11, 2004. He fought a courageous battle against kidney cancer. Tim is missed by his family and fellow running friends. This run/walk is in his honor, with proceeds going, as Tim requested, to help children and animals. This year the proceeds will help Team 360, which helps people of different abilities train and participate in mainstream athletic events; Coalition of Caring, a fund for our animal friends; and the Eastern Shore Running Club Scholarship Fund.

  • Team 360, which provides motivation and support to people of different abilities, empowering and enabling them to train and participate in mainstream athletic events.
  • Coalition of Caring, which helps our animal friends in need. by assisting with medical needs adoption, spay, and neuter costs, as well as by helping cover the cost of transporting homeless animals to rescues.
  • Eastern Shore Running Club Scholarship Fund

• RACE COURSE: Beautiful course through the City of Salisbury, MD...USATF Certified

• RACE TIMING: Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack chip timing system.

• RACE AMENITIES: Long Sleeve T-Shirts, a beautiful course, nice awards, great after-party post-celebration.

• PARKING:  Plenty of parking in the start/finish area of Salisbury Bible Fellowship Church

• NEW 10 MILE TIME LIMIT...(2:30 Time Limit for Ten Miler)...15 MINUTES PER MILE PACE.
  • The Race Committee has incorporated a two hour & thirty minute time limit for the 10 mile race.   This time limit of 15 minute per mile is very reasonable for a running event.   Please be mindful that the 10 miler is not a walk event and if you want to walk, please enter the 5k division.   This decision was made to allow the safety of all 10 mile participants to be off the course in a reasonable and safe time limit.

• AWARDS:  Custom awards will be presented to the male & female overall, master, and the top three finishers in the following 15 age groups for the 5k event and 13 age groups for the 10 mile event.  No awards for the non-competitive 5k walk.

• RACE NOTE:

  To ensure runner safety, unregistered runners, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, baby joggers, and dogs are strictly prohibited on the 10 mile and 5K race course.  The non-competitive 5K walk will allow baby joggers and well-behaved canines.
