Description
5 Mile RUN, and a 5 mile Walk Race
Please join us as we raise funds to support the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center’s mission: which provides scholarships and funding to support enrichment programs and activities for Hancock and Washington County Cancer Patients. Contributions are tax deductible and additional donations are appreciated. support our cancer community!
The Walk will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Addison, at the Addison Town Hall.
The annual Walk For Life brings together people of all ages from Hancock and Washington Counties, who believe that the free programs and services offered by the Beth Wright Cancer Resource Center are vitally needed. This year’s Walk we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the event that was started in memory of Beth Charczynski Wright, founded this organization before her death at age 28. On the other hand, we didn’t want this year to pass without recognizing and celebrating this important milestone.
We hope that you will again be able to participate in and support the Walk, our biggest fundraiser, to the best of your ability. A successful Walk is needed to bring in the funds necessary to ensure that our programs and services are offered at no cost to people living with cancer in Washington and Hancock Counties. The pandemic has also resulted in reductions in grant opportunities, fewer donations, and an inability to host other in-person events and fundraisers.
We have decided again to switch this year’s Walk For Life to a Hybrid: In-person.
All events and distances are still scheduled: 1-Mile, 2-Mile, and 5-Mile.
You can post your race pictures (and running time from your device if you want) on our Facebook page or email to info@bethwrightcancercenter.org
