Get ready for an exciting day of trail running, fun for the whole family, and community spirit at the second annual MilliKAT 5k Trail Race! Whether you’re an experienced runner or a family looking for some outdoor adventure, this event offers something for everyone.

Race Events:
FREE Kids 100-Yard Dash: For our youngest racers, join the fun with a quick and exciting dash near the starting area. Perfect for kids who want to get their feet moving!
Big Kids 1k Fun Run: For the bigger kids, this 1k race is the perfect challenge. Race through beautiful trails with family and friends cheering you on.
5K Trail Race: Our featured event – a 5k race through scenic single-track trails built and maintained by Katahdin Area Trails (KAT). With around 300 feet of elevation gain, this race is both challenging and rewarding, offering a mix of terrain and views that are sure to keep you engaged every step of the way. The 5k begins and ends at Stearns High School, where you'll enjoy a post-race celebration with plenty of space to relax, including a nearby playground for the kids.

About the MilliKAT and Katahdin Area Trails:
The name MilliKAT comes from the combination of “Millinocket” and Katahdin Area Trails (KAT), the amazing local initiative through the Outdoor Sport Institute that is working to grow exceptional non-motorized trail experiences and a vibrant, welcoming trails community in Maine’s Katahdin Region.
