Description
What: On Saturday, November 12th, 2016, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Women Engineers at University of Michigan are teaming up to host the 18th annual 5K Charity Fun Run/Walk. This charity event was first organized as a fundraiser for C.S. Mott Children's Hospital of the University of Michigan, and we continue that tradition today.
Who: The Fun Run generally attracts over 200 runners, and we expect this year to be bigger than ever! The race is open to both students from the University of Michigan and the general public.
Where: This year, the Fun Run will take place on North Campus. A route map will be posted shortly!
When: The run/walk will start at 10 AM, but please arrive by 9:00 AM for registration. The cost of the run/walk is $15 for registration on the day of the run ($10 for pre-registration). The registration price includes a t-shirt (while supplies last on the day of the race!), snacks and refreshments, and entrance to the post-race raffle.
All proceeds from the 5k Fun Run will go to Child and Family Life at University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. We appreciate any contribution to the children that you make!
