Description
Join us for the third Annual H.E.R.O Freedom Run featuring a 1 mile fun run and 5k run/walk on the beautiful cross country course located at Freedom River in Hamburg Township. We will kick off with a 1 mile fun run at 8:30am and our 5K run/walk at 9am on a cross country style course. The funds raised for this event will benefit Freedom River, Inc., a non-profit organization that helps veterans and their families to relax, recover, and rejuvenate. The race will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, morning starting at 8:30am.
PRICING: 1 mile run - $25. 5k run/walk - $30.
COURSE: Cross country type course including trails, fields, pavement with slight hills. Race is chipped timed.
PACKET PICKUP: At the registration table on race day (6/15) starting at 7am and will close at 9am.
AWARDS: Medals to all finishers! Trophies to all first place finishers and overall male and female.
AGE GROUPS: 1 Mile Fun Run: 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-14 5K Run/walk: 10 & under, 11-17, 18 & over Male and Female, Male and Female overall
REGISTRATION INCLUDES: Commemorative race T-shirt, available as supplies last. Also included in your race packet: Amusement ride VIP passes for Hamburg Family Fun Fest (pack of 3), free parking for the race and Hamburg Family Fun Fest bag of goodies.
PARKING: Available on site.
RESULTS: We will have live results on this site!
The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and live on this website.

Sponsorship Opportunities
If you, or your business/organization, is interested in sponsorship opportunities please see the attached information. In partnership with Freedom River (a comprehensive outdoor recreation center located in Hamburg Township that assists in re-assimilation of U.S. military service members, veterans and their families), the Hamburg Family Fun Fest will host the 2nd annual H.E.R.O. Freedom Run. Proceeds from the run will benefit the Freedom River project. Freedom River is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization.
