Light the Torch 180 5K night glow run

Race through the "mostly" paved trails behind Mt. Brighton while we light up the night.

If that's not flashy enough for you, then our swag should make you GLOW, literally, with race logo embroidered LED glow caps!!! Wear your own light up and glow-in- the-dark accessories-- there will be contests & prizes!

Registration on or before August 5th includes a LED glow cap (scroll for photo) and a race medal.

The Torch food truck will be on hand with food for purchase, and Mt. Brighton will be serving beer and drinks inside their beautiful chalet.

This is a chip-timed race with age categories.  Age category winners will win an item from The Torch food truck.

Promote the event & your participation!  #LightTheTorch180     #Glow5K     #Run4Torch180     #BeTheLight     #LetsGlow2022     #LightTheWay     #ShineOn

All proceeds to benefit Torch 180.

All proceeds from the Light the Torch 180 5K will go towards providing critical vocational training, student scholarships, and operating our facility. Torch 180 aims to educate and train young adults with disabilities or other obstacles to employment. Many of our young people live with various disabilities or co-existing conditions creating some unique needs that we work hard to accommodate.

It is estimated that unemployment among individuals with disabilities in Michigan is 75%; those with autism is 85%! Our program offers hands-on training and experience in a state-of-the-art facility preparing our students for gainful employment opportunities in their communities and thereby creating a real possibility for their future independence!

Swag- Complimentary LED cap with Registrations by 8/5/22

Create an even bigger IMPACT!

Light the Torch 180 5K was created to offer a healthy community challenge, bring awareness to inclusive employment, and to support our operation of critical vocational training. We believe in the power of our supporters and are inspired not only by your enthusiasm for our cause, but by the joined sense of community that makes up our “Torch 180 Village!”

Why Fundraise?
Because Torch 180 is growing, and we make every penny count!

We can accelerate the growth of the Torch 180 vocational and employment programs through your support of and participation in the Light the Torch 180 5K. Every participant is highly encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 by race day. This is a drop in the bucket, right? Asking a few friends or family to give a few bucks means that, collectively, we will be able to accelerate the promising work and opportunities Torch 180 provides in our area. To thank you for your efforts, we will be awarding tokens of appreciation for different levels of support and offering fun challenges!

We are turning your efforts into results.

You are an integral part of the solution. 100% of all funds raised will support our important mission! With your help, we can continue to offer opportunities and open new doors.  $20,000 is our overall goal for this event -- You can help make that happen!

Collectively, we can create a brighter future for Torch 180 students and graduates!
