This flat, paved route, reminiscent of a smooth rail journey, winds through lush woods and charming farmland—which is sure to lead to PRs galore! Early Packet Pickup: Saturday, July 18th in Columbiaville
Get extra rest on race day (and avoid the lines) by joining us for early packet pickup! We will be setup across the street from Columbiaville Community Center
- 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Early packet pickup at Columbiaville Community Center (4620 Water St, Columbiaville, MI) and the Southern Links Trailway.
Race Day Schedule: Sunday, July 19th
- 6:45 AM - 8:15 AM: ONSITE PACKET PICK UP AT Columbiaville Community Center, 4620 Water St, Columbiaville, MI
- 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM: Shuttle departs every 15/20 min from finish area (*shuttle will drop off half marathon runners to start line), COLUMBIAVILLE COMMUNITY CENTER
- 7:00 AM: HALF MARATHON START AREA OPENS, Millington Library, 8530 Depot St
- 8:30 AM: HALF MARATHON STARTS
- 8:40 AM: 5K STARTS COLUMBIAVILLE COMMUNITY CENTER, 4620 Water St, Columbiaville, MI
- 10:30 AM: 5k Awards Ceremony
- 11:30 AM: Half Marathon Awards Ceremony
- 12:30 PM: Course closes
Key Locations
Start location for Half Marathon
Millington Library, 8530 Depot St, Millington, MI 48746. There will be porta johns available in the start area along with music to get you grooving and ready to run! *Shuttle will be offered BEFORE the start of the race, from finish area to start line; NO shuttles after race
Finish location for Half Marathon and 5K
Columbiaville Community Center, 4620 Water St, Columbiaville, MI 48421. The community center sits at the end of the Trailway and right on the water, a perfect ending to what is sure to be a perfect morning!

All aboard #TrainToTrails! We’re thrilled to be teaming up with the incredible Coach Lauren of BTH Running to offer FREE training plans for all passengers (aka runners ) gearing up for the Train to Trails Half Marathon, Relay, & 5K! Departure date: Official training pulls out of the station Monday, May 12th (*can be adjusted to later start date!*)— with a July 20th race day. Training plans can be found here.
We’re beyond grateful to Coach Lauren for helping runners of all levels stay on track. Half Marathon Course
The point to point half marathon route will start in Millington taking runners on a scenic tour of this small Michigan town before jumping on the Southern Link Trailway. The trailway is paved and goes through beautiful wooded areas and farmland before crossing over the Flint River to finish at the quaint town of Columbiaville where runners will receive a well deserved Michigan welcome.
*Shuttles will be provided before start so that your car is waiting for you at the finish line -- NO shuttles after the race
5K Course
The 5K course will start and finish at the Columbiaville Community Center. This will be an out and back on the Southern Link Trailway. Athletes will park in one of the designated parking areas in town, pick up packets and start/finish all in one central location.
Invite your friends!
Increase the fun and invite your friends to join you on a fun social team! You can create a team during the registration process and others can join your team. Teams of 5 or more will each get a special commemorative gift!
Note: social teams are just that - fun with your gang. The team can span any of the events.
