Join Trivium Racing for our Thanksgiving weekend tradition! Relax on Thanksgiving and hit the trails for your holiday race on Black Friday with a half marathon or 7.5 miler. Join us on the beautiful, well-groomed trails of Proud Lake State Recreation Area and leave the crowds to the mall! One of the best parts about The Black Toenail Friday Half and 7.5 mile race is that you can sleep in. With an 11:00 AM start time, you can relax and enjoy Thanksgiving knowing you have plenty of time before the starting gun goes off. This event usually sells out, so do not wait until the last minute to sign up!
The half marathon will be a two loop course, while the 7.5 mile will just complete one of those laps - same great course, sweatshirt and medal with a lot less work!
We will be working closely with the city to implement all necessary Covid measures to have a safe in-person event. Modifications may include removal of post race activities, wave starts, and modified courses. We cannot predict what November will look like in terms of the current pandemic, but we are committed to doing everything we can to host a live event. Please make sure you are aware of our refund policy prior to signing up. We hope to see everyone in November!

This race takes place during hunting season. Hunters will be warned in the weeks leading up to the race that runners will be coming through. The park has stated that, while they are not concerned (trails are still open to hikers and runners during hunting season and hunters are always aware of this), runners may want to wear bright colors for additional visibility.
