Join us for the 2016 Give Me Shelter 5k. This road race supports Family Promise of Genesee County, a Flint-based non-profit dedicated to engaging community and faith based organizations in ending homelessness one family at a time. The event is open to all registered participants and includes a FREE Kids “Super Hero” Fun Run - costumes are encouraged!
The 2016 Give Me Shelter 5k is a competitive, bib-timed 5K Run/Walk held at Jack Abernathy Regional Park, in Davison, 500 S. Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423, on August 13th, 2016.
It begins at 8:00am with our FREE Kids “Super Hero” Fun Run (? mile) (costumes encouraged!)
5K Run/Walk begins at 8:30 am - The scenic course is flat and fast on fully paved roads and trails that wind through the Regional Park - all trails are stroller friendly.
There will even be a free pancake breakfast, following the event!
RACE FEATURES:
• Awards: Overall Male and Female - Top three in each age division for both the 5K run and 5K walk. • Guaranteed Tech T-shirt for paid registrations by July 25, 2016 • One FREE Lake Callis & Splash Pad Day Pass per Participant • Please join us immediately following the run for: • FREE Pancake Breakfast • FREE Childcare • $25 early registration by Monday, July 25, 2016 • $30 day before race and race day (T-shirts subject to availability) • $18 for those 18 +under • CrimFit Vouchers accepted (mailed/attached to a paper form) (Sorry no online or race-day vouchers accepted). • Late Registration and Packet Pickup Friday, August 12, 2016 at Complete Runner (915 Dort Hwy., Flint) • Facilities: NO showers or changing facilities
