On behalf of Genesis House, we would like to invite you to partner with us as a sponsor for our All Minds Matter 5K Walk/Run. All Minds Matter is a 5K fun run/walk that will take place on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020. The walk/run will begin and end at the downtown Fowlerville parking lot, with a reception immediately following at Genesis House. Our hope for this event is to raise awareness of and bring support to adults with mental illness. When consumers have support from friends, family, and providers, they can live a life in the community that is productive, positive, and hopeful. We need your support to spread this crucial message.
Statistics show that one in four families have a member who is affected by a mental illness. It affects our neighbors, family, and friends. Fortunately, Livingston County Community Mental Health (CMH) provides comprehensive services to residents in need. CMH serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children with serious emotional disturbances, and adults with a mental illness. The vision of CMH is a healthy and rewarding life in the community for everyone.
Genesis House, a program affiliated with CMH, serves people recovering from mental illness. Through Genesis House, eligible Livingston County residents engage in meaningful work, build strong relationships and move toward life goals in employment, education, wellness, and more. We are passionate about sharing the message that recovery is possible.
Your organization’s participation in this event will make a significant impact on Genesis members’ lives. Fundraisers enable Genesis House to fully realize its mission of saving lives through the power of community inclusion. Furthermore, your support will truly help us create awareness, reduce stigma, and foster a supportive local community.
